Augusta Agrees On Truck Trade

At a special meeting in December, the Augusta Town Board approved trading in a 2020 truck for a 2022 model.


Augusta Highway Department Superintendent Phil Eaton proposed a vehicle trade-in from Friendly of Hamilton. The Town traded a 2020 Ford F-350 for a 2022 Ford F-350 XLT.


Cost of the new truck was $49,349. The trade-in value for the 2020 vehicle was $49,000.


Once document fees were added in, Augusta paid $524 for the new truck.


Eaton gave additional info regarding the John Deere 6105E Cab Tractor and Diamond Mowers Boom mower for $138,025 with a trade-in of $16,500. It would be for a total of $121,525 with a 60-month lease of $25,777 from Cazenovia Equipment.


Eaton said it would cost approximately $5,000 to remove the cab and $30,000 to put a mower on the old mower. Councilman Travis Wright requested they look again and give a written quote as to the condition of and cost of repair.
