CCS New Faculty Welcomed By BOE

The Clinton Central School District Board of Education met last Tuesday evening to discuss new business.

 

The meeting began with the welcoming and congratulations of new staff to the district. In the Elementary School, Jocelyn Schneider, Sarah Lomanto, CCS grad Joshua Heintz, Sharleen Moulton, Katrina Mercer, Anna Femia, and Linda Kennedy were all welcomed and thanked for joining the CCS family. 

 

Tenneil Mihm was welcomed as a new physical education teacher in the Middle School. Michael Pavone joined the High School staff as a new Spanish Teacher.

 

The district Bright Spots began with a tremendous thank you from Superintendent Dr. Stephen Grimm to the leadership team, faculty and staff, parents, PTA, students, village and town leaders, the Chamber of Commerce, Hamilton College, and the entire community for an "awesome opening of school.

 

Grimm took pictures from the first day of school at Clinton Elementary while also showing the new setup for high school band and students in the chemistry lab. 

 

The Sept. 11 memorial dedication to Flight 93 hero and CCS Class of 1977 graduate Edward Porter Felt was an amazing experience, Grimm said. The new memorial will ensure the education of the sacrifices made by brave men and women like Felt that day will continue. 

 

Grimm said the events of the dedication were tremendously meaningful and the special message from Gordon Felt, brother and also a Clinton graduate, still resonates.
