The Village of Clinton Board held their first meeting of April last Monday night outside in front of Village Hall.
The Budget Hearing, Tax Limit hearing, and Sewer Use Law Hearing were all opened.
In the budget compensation was approved for the Mayor and Village trustees. The Mayor will be compensated $4,500, while trustees will be paid $2,000. The meeting was closed to the public but comments can be mailed to the Village Clerk.
The various Village Department reports were approved into record. The Water Tie-In contract is out for bids and is planning to be approved at the next Board meeting.
New Clinton Historic Preservation Commission Chairman Chris Cirelli introduced himself to the Board and said he's excited to get to work with everyone. His contact information is available on the village website.
The Stonewater Annual permits were approved. An amendment to the Sewer Use Law was approved. The 2021 Fiscal Year Budget was approved with passing the Tax Limit Law.
There was a change in the General Budget with $1,500 being allocated to the Kirkland Art Center. Street lighting was reduced from $2,500 to $500.
