Times Radio Interview: Maria Vallese of Retro Sorrento

This week's guest on Times Radio was Maria Vallese of Retro Sorrento. Vallese has a studio in the Village of Clinton, where she works on various illustrations.

During our 30-minute conversation, Vallese spoke about how she came to have a studio in Clinton after graduating with a degree in illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Vallese is originally from the Village of Frankfort.

Vallese has a unique art style. She gave us a description of it.

Even if you don't know Vallese or her business named Retro Serrento, you have probably seen her work. If you drink Saranac beer, you've definitely seen her work. She spoke about how the beer company approached her in the summer of 2016 to design labels for them.

Vallese mentioned on the show that she has designed about 40 labels for Saranac Brewery.

Times Radio is live every Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. on WCHL-FM.
