Kalei Buczek hands two bunches of flowers to Casey Kane on West Park Row last week during Petal It Forward Day. Buczek works with Chester’s Flowers and the store takes part in the annual day to give people flowers and give them a bouquet to share with someone else. “People are a little startled,’’ Buczek said, “because they are not used to getting something for free.’’ Chester’s handed out 100 bouquets of roses, carnations, sunflowers and daisies in Clinton and another 500 in the Utica area.
