WCS Tradition Continues

December 18, 2018

For the 145th time, Waterville students stood one by one on stage and recited their memorized pieces.

Last week 10 students participated in the annual Waterville tradition, the oldest continuous prize speaking event in the United States. They competed in three categories: varietal, humor and drama.

Kelsey Morris and Rhaine Vore-Mosher performed in the varietal category. Morris, who took second place, recited some of the speech President Ronald Reagan gave in his Inaugural Address.
