Community Farm Provides Harvest


Down in the fields, people examine tomatoes and discuss what type of lettuce to pick.

Up in the barn, people check the list of what they can get that week and choose from the array of vegetables already picked. Helpful hints on how to use them in cooking provide some guidance.

It’s a typical Tuesday night at Common Thread Community Farm in Madison near Lake Moraine. As people load their bags with their produce, Asher Burkhart-Spiegel reminds them to pick a bouquet from the wildflowers planted among the vegetables.
