Lions Award

Clinton Central School student Blake Hook received the Lions Distinguished Service Award from Clinton Lions Club President Bill O'Mara recently. The award was presented at the club’s recent end-of-year picnic and is named in honor of the 55th Lions Clubs International President Robert J. Uplinger. Presentation of this award signifies a monetary contribution has been made to the State Lions Foundation in the recipient's name for utilization in the awarding of matching funds service-related grants to Lions Clubs throughout New York state. Hook, who will be entering his junior year at Clinton in the fall, has assisted the Clinton Club for more than a decade in parades, Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive, service work at the local Food Pantry and other humanitarian and fundraising activities.
