One of Clinton’s oldest buildings has been memorialized in a unique way.
Clinton resident Daniel Maxam spent over 500 hours on what he calls a labor of love.
Maxam has assembled a small replica of Clinton’s freight building - also referred to as the freight house - which was part of the railroad system that went through the village in the late 1800s.
Village of Clinton and Town of Kirkland Historian Richard Williams said the freight building was originally located on the site where the Clinton House Apartments are today on Kirkland Avenue. It had to be moved in the 1970s to build the apartment complex.
