Dawna Forward started out looking for products that would help her with natural skin care.
The Bouckville woman turned that idea into a passion to help others with holistic treatments through organic means.
Forward opened Earthly Organic Wellness at 103 E. Main St., Waterville in February. She saw the shop’s availability in January and moved quickly to open her own business in a commercial space.
But the idea, and her venture into her own business, began long before.
As a way to combat skin issues that Forward said came about with products with chemicals, she took classes in skin care. “I was going to school at night and working weekends,’’ she said.
