Waterville Junior-Senior High School students and especially their parents will need to adjust to a stricter cell phone policy in the fall.
Stricter in the sense that at the High School, there actually will be a policy. Replacing the use it anytime/anywhere practice in place will be one similar to the Junior High policy: cell phones will not be allowed from the time school starts until it ends.
At last week’s WCS Board of Education meeting, board members tweaked the recommendation given by administrators. The original proposal in front of the board would have allowed High School students to use their phones at lunch and for those on Honor Roll, during study halls.
