Augusta Considers Veteran Exemption

June 6, 2018

At the April meeting of the Town of Augusta, Assessor Steve Roys asked in his report if the Board had made a decision on the Cold War Veterans Exemption.

Councilman Jim Dowd asked if he had missed this discussion. It appears that the topic was never brought to the Board’s attention, as other Board members do not recall the topic either.

Roys was requested to provide information on this topic for the Board to review.

Highway Superintendent Phil Eaton provided bids for road work on Oliver Road to be completed this year:

Hanson: $50,522.50 plus approximately $13,000 for resurfacing and grinding, job would be hot mix.

Alliance Paving- $58,920 plus approx. $13,000 for resurfacing and grinding. Job would be hot mix.

Suite-Kote: $54,901.35 total cost of full job but would be cold pave.
